Community HUBs Update

We have been required to follow the government guidelines as issued. We are now CLOSED as of today (5th November 2020) 💔

Activities

We offer a diverse choice of activities including exercise classes, dance classes and sports facilities as well as meeting spaces and function rooms for hire. We have a range of exercise classes for all abilities, including U3A, Sweaty Mamas and things like yoga or Pilates. We also host Airies Gymnastics club, which welcomes children between 3 and 13. You will find dance lessons including Irish dancing for children and we’ve a great range of sports facilities available including netball, basketball and tennis as well as our Astro pitch. We are located in a fabulous setting, within Leavesden Country park, a beautiful place for enjoying fresh air, local heritage and to take advantage of our Cycle Hub.

Facilities

We have two halls for hire which are great for children’s parties and other community events. Our largest is Redwood Hall, which can hold up to 80 people, while Everglades has a maximum capacity of 30. We have two meeting rooms with board room style tables, as well as a therapy room that can be used for couples’ or one-to-one counselling, and kitchen facilities with tea and coffee urns available.

Charters Day Nursery is based within the HUB and offers an early years setting for the under-fives and being all on one level means we offer good access for those with disabilities.

We offer a vital space for our community, supported by a professional, friendly team of staff and volunteers. We are easy to get to by bus, and we have a good sized free car park, all against the backdrop of the wonderful Leavesden Country Park.
